Felted Bison Log Cabin Baby Quilt

I found a treasure! This 100-year-old, log cabin, quilt top has been revived from living in a long lost drawer in a dark attic. This particular hand stitched piece has a beautifully executed shadow and light pattern. Perhaps a baby quilt at one time, or intended to be a baby quilt, I took the top and machine quilted it onto my own felted bison/wool fabric. I see my quilts as a collaborative effort between myself and an unknown quilter who has since passed. I hope wherever she is, she can be happy that one of her earthly projects is finally finished. 40" X 40"
