Log Cabin Shawl
This shawl was inspired by a traditional log-cabin patterned quilt. The rectangular shapes that create the blocks represent the cabin, the red square at the center of each block represents the hearth, or heart of the home. This one-of-a-kind shawl is knit with soft-black alpaca --ranched locally in the Gallatin Valley, Montana. The blocks are hand knit with a variety of natural and specialty commercial yarns. This shawl appeared in the 2010 Western Design Conference in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Part of Jennifer Olsson's collection titled: Montana Seasons featured during the annual fashion show.
